INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS

• Managing the implementation, and subsequent enhancement to over 500 objects, of a client-server system for a major telecommunication supplier, using Rapid Application Development techniques, Microsoft software and incorporating geographic mapping, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Managing and undertaking the development of a computerised business model to evaluate the pricing of a Technology OutSource (circa. 60,000 items). Subsequently, preparing the functional specifications for a suite of computer systems covering the Service Management and Billing of the OutSource, including the evaluation and selection of the technical platform for world-wide access via a Wide Area Network.
• Managing a review of the company's IT system development strategy (budget exceeding £15 million).
• Managing up to 200 permanent and up to 80 contract systems and programming staff.
• Overseeing the design, quality control and change management on a project to build the operating centre component of a retail automation system for Shell International.
• Managing the conversion and implementation of a US developed Credit Card / Merchant Accounting system for Rumbelows (over 1Million lines of code).
• Establishing and managing a new Data Centre, over a 2 year period, in Apeldoorn, Holland, for the development of Civil Marine and Air Traffic Control Systems, embracing configuration management, training and technical documentation.
